“My framed photos look amazing on the wall - so pleased I chose Rich.
He helped with every decision to make - just amazing”

Portraits have always been a traditional way of marking key times in our lives and certain ‘rites of passage’.
Whether it is leaving school, starting university or celebrating a birthday these are key moments in our lives that are great to capture so that we can treasure them for years to come.
Commissioning a bespoke portrait shoot is easy and I will help you at every step of the way. Drop me a line and we’ll schedule a consultation and before you know it you’ll have an amazing photo experience and awesome images on your walls and social media.
Imagine the pride you’ll feel having an awesome portrait displayed on your wall for others to see now and in the years to come.

How does a portrait session work?
My classic portrait sessions are more relaxed and affordable approach when compared to working in a photography or film studio.
My aim is to strip away some of the formality of a studio shoot and do something that is a little more of a relaxed experience.
Where Do They Happen?
The shoots take place in my personal studio space where I usually test equipment, work on more experimental stuff and personal projects.
Because we’re using this space and aren’t in a studio I aim to make the experience to feel more homely, more chilled out.
We’ll have some coffee, some pastries, put some music on and we’ll create some lovely portraits unconstrained by studio booking times.
Who Are They For?
Sessions are open for anyone aged 10 and over.
Clients have used the images for this session for mounting on their walls, corporate and social media headshots, and album and music artwork.
Portrait sessions make a great gift to celebrate key moments in life like birthdays, graduations or the end of exams and school.
About Me
I have a simple dress code: if it’s not snowing, it's shorts weather!
But behind my seemingly shabby facade of shorts, old t-shirts and Vans is a love of good design, neatness, and a studious attention to detail.
I have a Masters Degree in Photography from Falmouth University and most recently completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.
My work was most recently included in the Royal Photographic Society Summer Exhibition.

One to one consulting of framing and wall layout design if required.
Printing and framing of completed images on standard photographic or archival fine-art papers by an award-winning commercial print house is priced separately.

My style of portraiture is influenced by 16th and 17th Century artists such as Vermeer, Caravaggio, and Peter Paul Rubens but the characteristics of those painters are just a jumping off point for making something that is unique to the sitter; unique to you.
